Teddington RFC has been in existence for 40 years, we are known affectionately as the “Antlers”, as this was the club’s previous name. We have the well-deserved reputation for being one of the friendliest clubs in the area. Not that this detracts from the quality of the rugby we endeavor to play. We have a full time head coach and a personal fitness advisor and club physiotherapist, demonstrating our commitment to improvement and success.

The 1st XV are playing in Surrey League 2 in season 2007/08. We were promoted at the end of the 2006/07 season, that’s 2 seasons in succession. Our goal is promotion to Surrey 1 within 2 years. The 2nd XV and 3rd XV also play league rugby in the Surrey merit leagues. The 2’s were the joint champions of the Surrey Combination League 2 in season 2006/07, whilst The 3rd XV finished 6th in Surrey Conference League 2, no mean feat in their first ever season of league rugby. The Vets play friendlies throughout the season.

Our clubhouse which is due to be completely renovated and extended and 2 pitches are located in the beautiful setting of Bushy Park, which does make for a particularly pleasant view while enjoying that well deserved after-match beer in our clubhouse (Please see the “Maps” section for the address and directions).

As well as the league games Teddington RFC enter the EDF Energy National junior vase and the Middlesex Bowl, and last season we made it to the Middlesex Bowl Final. Where we were beaten by Chiswick RFC. Our 7’s squad won the Middlesex Club 7’s at Richmond RFC in May. To top the season off we celebrated our 40th anniversary with a tour to California in May and June. So season 2006/07 was packed full of great moments and overall was a great success for Teddington Rugby club. With all three competitions to play in means that we have a full and demanding season. Please see the “Fixtures and Results” section for what’s on the cards for this season.

Ready to shift up a gear, Teddington are now looking to attract new and experienced players and to move ahead throughout the 2007-2008 season.

If you are interested in joining in with the fun and getting fit, why not come down to the club and join us for training on Tuesdays (fitness and conditioning) and Thursdays (Individual and unit skills) both evenings start at 7.30pm sharp. There is a planned programme of coaching unfolding throughout the season.
